Now you are forced to - if you want to retain files in iCloud and accessible to phone - have all files in one folder and even with a speedy processor and a SSD, it gets pretty laggish once you hit 10,000 file or more in that folder. Works somewhat similar to MSFT's OneDrive in that you can elect where you want the file to reside.ĭoes it work? Not as good as the older versions that indeed did download (and only that) and allowed for easy organization on PC in folders etc.
Yes, newer versions of iCloud for Windows do indeed sync (actually both ways, so be careful) and do not even download files to PC until you tell it to.
